Traditional Saree Drapes | Kuchipudi
This Kuchipudi drape is worn by male performers of the classical dance form from central Andhra Pradesh. This drape emphasizes mobility and expression and was traditionally used before stitched costumes became common. Typically worn with ankle bells, temple jewelry, and traditional makeup, this drape completes the classical Kuchipudi costume. Though rarely seen in modern productions, this drape continues to be used in traditional training and select performances that preserve its original form.
